As coronavirus care seems to be passing and vaccination as a process looking to begin soon, the travel industry can collectively heave a sigh of relief. People are starting to step out of their homes and move about again.

This said, there is no denying the fact that the world for a travel agency or a travel agent will never be the same as it was pre coronavirus. This means that many changes will need to be made by your business. One of the major such change will be that of remarketing what you as a travel agent or travel agency have to offer to the potential clients.

What is remarketing

Unlike the traditional definition of the word which in business circles means to reconnect or reapproach old clients, in this case, we wish to ask you to market your offering again in a changed manner. Simply put, remarketing here refers to finding, designing, and running a new marketing plan for the same offerings you had before. The more method and form may change in this.

Why remarket

You may be wondering why you need to remarket at all instead of pressing unpause on your marketing schemes already in place or follow a more aggressive form of the same. Let us look at the reasons:

· The old reasons are redundant — Until the world truly returns to the old normal, there are a lot of reasons for traveling that are now no longer plausible. Taking a break or celebrating an event by traveling is no longer a viable or considered option by most. These reasons have instead been replaced by new ones such as working from home away from your city and house. Traveling to meet those people that potential clients have not met in months etc. This clearly needs to lead to change in your marketing as well.

· Travel restrictions — It is true that many travel enthusiasts are now looking to move around and explore as they did in the pre coronavirus time. What has happened, however, is that a lot of travel restrictions have come up as part of the state or country policies. International travel is nearly negligible at the moment. Even traveling within a country is ill-advised by the state machinery for the most part. Such a situation makes your job with a travel agent extremely hard. In order to convince your potential clients to truly travel, you will have to bring about changes in your products and how they are marketed to take into consideration these restrictions.

How to remarket

Are you confused if remarketing is on the cards for you? It would still be a question of what to do and how to do so. Some ideas that should help you remarket based on your particular needs. A travel agency or other travel agent are:

· Find the right target — What you have to offer may be extremely popular to certain target markets in the pre coronavirus time. However, you need to re-analyze which other target markets which will lead to the most conversions for you in this stage. Address your marketing to that audience only. Spending resources and time on marketing as per the old analytics would only lead to loss and heartache. The analytics need to be done again before you begin marketing.

· Give offers — As a travel agency or as a travel agent, this is the perfect time to make combination packages or tie-up with boarding, lodging, traveling, or destination places in order to woo potential clients with great offers that they cannot refuse. Remember that any client that comes to you is choosing to step out at a risk to themselves. In such a time monetary savings could go a long way in them talking a decision.

Your strategy and pace of marketing again will be heavily dependent on what you wish to do going forward as a travel agent. Thus you must analyze and take decisions carefully.
